About The Trip

We're visiting a number of countries. The following are the whos, the wheres, the whys and hows.

Countries involved

Student Delegates of SEABT09 will be going to 6 ASEAN countries namely Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, Laos and Cambodia. They will have the opportunity to understand the business environment of the host country through interaction with local technopreneurs, businessmen, academics, government officers and entrepreneurial students.

The duration

The trip will be held on 9th December 2009 until 9th of Jan 2009. It will be exactly a month long.

Objectives

SEABT hopes to promote interaction between Singapore and host country's undergraduates. The undergraduates of Singapore and the host country's best universities will likely be the future intellects and leaders of both nations. With a platform and opportunity for them to interact, we believe solid friendships can be developed overtime which will be beneficial for future mutual understandings and commerce development.

Delegation

To be part of the student delegates' team, the application will only be considered upon membership with NUSBINGO.

We are looking for passionate people with a keen interest in entrepreneurship to join us! Out of all applications, only 24 will be representing NUS for SEABT09. There are no other restrictions imposed. Graduate students are welcome to join too.

Criteria of Selection

SEABT will keep you challenged, engaged, and consistently rewarded – even if you don't have a background in entrepreneurship or in planning events. You'll have the freedom you need to put your training, instincts, and strategic outlook to full use as you help forge the future direction. There has never been a better time to explore your potential with SEABT. If you are a passionate and committed team player who shows keen interest in the cultural aspects of the host countries, you will be selected as one of us.

Expenditure involved

We approximate the expenditure to be about SGD2500. Amounts may change depending on success of sponsorship from companies.
